Things To Do During Coronacation

So everyone is quarantined this coronacation and I bet a lot of you guys are super bored. You probably finished binging your Netflix shows and you want to stop scrolling through Tik Tok. Well, look no further!
Here is a list of 7 things you can do (that I am doing) while stuck at home.
1. Write a book! Your life experiences can be turned into a great fiction book! Getting your creative juices flowing is always a great idea
2. Journal! Similar to this, you can journal. Since we’re all stuck inside, you could write down whatever has been weighing on your heart. It honestly feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders when I write. Treat it like free therapy.
3. Play video games! Go buy Animal Crossing New Horizon, Pokemon Sword/Shield or maybe you never got to play some of those Switch classics like Mario Odyssey. If you’re looking for a JRPG, maybe Tales of Vesperia or Octopath Traveler would suit your fancy.
4. Binge anime. I know what you’re thinking but I promise anime is way better than Netflix. If you need some recommendations, here are some mainstream anime that are really popular (if you’re looking for less mainstream anime, let me know):
My Hero Academia
My Little Monster
Haikyuu
Death Note
A Silent Voice (movie)
5. Cook/Bake. I know that it can be hard to go out and grab ingredients right now but this could be a good chance for you to learn how to cook in the real world: with the ingredients you have right now in the fridge! Help yourself prep for living on your own! Something I’ve easily made at home is Bubble Tea. I used the tea I had at home and just bought Tapioca Pearls off of Amazon.
6. Learn to code. Codecademy is giving out free pro accounts if you sign up with a .edu email. You can learn a new programming language or get extra practice on a language you already know. Udacity is also doing a 30-day free trial!
7. Get artsy! Take this time to learn to sketch, paint, sew, use photoshop, cross-stitch, embroider, etc. I am currently working on a cross stitch pattern of a retro camera! You can get patterns for cheap on Etsy or even draw them out yourself :)
I hope coronacation is treating everyone well. Stay safe, wash your hands, and don’t touch your face!
